Joint Trauma System

All Service Members (ASM)

What are the requirements to become a TCCC – All Service Members (ASM) Trainer?

  • Meets service/agency policy requirements. Note: Service/agency trainer requirements may exceed the following minimum requirements established by the Joint Trauma System.
  • Current certification (within 3 years) in TCCC-ASM (or higher tier).
  • Current certification (within 3 years) in TCCC-ASM Train-the-Trainer Course.
  • Proctored Trainer/Grader Evaluation (candidate teaches a course and is evaluated by a certified trainer).

Combat LifeSaver (CLS)

What are the requirements to become a TCCC – Combat Lifesaver (CLS) Trainer?

  • Meets service/agency policy requirements. Note: Service/agency trainer requirements may exceed the following minimum requirements established by the Joint Trauma System.
  • Enlisted medical occupational specialty (current or prior service):
    • Combat Medic, Flight Medic, Corpsman, Aerospace Medical Technician, Advanced Tactical Paramedic, Pararescue (PJ), Independent Duty Medical Technician, Independent Duty Corpsman
  • Officer medical occupational specialty (current or prior service):
    • Assigned to TCCC-CLS certification/training sites
  • Current certification (within 3 years) in TCCC-CMC (or higher tier).
  • Current certification (within 3 years) in Deployed Medicine TCCC-CLS Train-the-Trainer Course
  • Proctored Trainer/Grader Evaluation (candidate teaches a course and is evaluated by a certified trainer)
NOTE:

Personnel who do not meet the Enlisted/Officer and TCCC-CMC student course requirements may become a TCCC-CLS Assistant Trainer and may assist with skills practice and lecture presentations. However, a fully qualified CLS Trainer must deliver or directly supervise all didactic (lecture) presentations. TCCC CLS Assistant Trainers are NOT authorized to formally assess skills or deliver unsupervised lecture presentations. The TCCC-CLS Course and the TCCC-CLS Train the Trainer Course are requirements to be a TCCC-CLS Assistant Trainer.

Combat Medic / Corpsman (CMC)

What are the requirements to become a TCCC – Combat Medic / Corpsman (CMC) Trainer?

  • Meets service/agency policy requirements. Note: Service/agency trainer requirements may exceed the following minimum requirements established by the Joint Trauma System.
  • Medical enlisted specialty (current or prior service), or
    • Combat Medic, Flight Medic, Corpsman, Aerospace Medical Technician, Advanced Tactical Paramedic, Pararescue (PJ), Independent Duty Medical Technician, Independent Duty Corpsman
  • Officer medical occupational specialty (current or prior service)
    • Assigned to TCCC-CMC certification/training sites
  • Current certification (within 3 years) in TCCC-CMC (or higher tier)
  • Current certification (within 3 years) in Deployed Medicine TCCC-CMC Train-the-Trainer Course at https://deployedmedicine.allogy.net/learner/courses/register/content/4589. 
  • Proctored Trainer/Grader Evaluation (candidate teaches a course and is evaluated by a certified trainer)
  • Authorized to operate as a Training Site per Service/Agency specific policy, guidelines, or standards

Combat Paramedic / Provider (CPP)

What are the requirements to become a TCCC – Combat Paramedic / Provider (CPP) Trainer?

  • Meets service/agency policy requirements. Note: Service/agency trainer requirements may exceed the following minimum requirements established by the Joint Trauma System.
  • Advanced enlisted medical occupational specialty (current or prior service), or
    • Combat Paramedic, Flight Paramedic, Advanced Tactical Paramedic, Pararescue (PJ), Independent Duty Corpsman
  • Officer medical occupational specialty (current or prior service)
    • Assigned to TCCC-CPP certification/training sites
  • Current certification (within 3 years) in TCCC-CPP
  • Current certification (within 3 years) in Deployed Medicine TCCC-CMC Train-the-Trainer Course at https://deployedmedicine.allogy.net/learner/courses/register/content/4589.
  • Proctored Trainer/Grader Evaluation (Candidate teaches a course and is evaluated by a certified trainer)
  • Authorized to operate as a Training Site per Service/Agency policy, guidelines, or standards
