How to Become an Instructor on Deployed Medicine

What is a Deployed Medicine TCCC Instructor Team?

Deployed Medicine TCCC Instructor Teams have been approved by JTS to conduct TCCC CLS, CMC, or CPP courses for certification in accordance with JTS TCCC curricula standards.  Deployed Medicine TCCC Instructor Teams are provided access to the following instructor tools:

  • Instructor Team (Training Center) established in Deployed Medicine
  • Access to Instructor App and Instructor Dashboard
  • Class Administration and Analytics
  • Digital Skills Assessments
  • Online Exam Code Generation
  • Course Survey Tools

Application Process:

Current US DoD Members (Active, Guard, Reserve, DoD Civilian):

  1. Meet TCCC Trainer Eligibility Criteria
  2. Save course completion certificates (Student and Train the Trainer).
  3. Submit a US DoD Instructor Team Request Form.

All Others:

  1. Be an Authorized NAEMT Training Center Representative/Course Coordinator that is authorized to conduct TCCC courses. 
  2. Submit the Non-DoD NAEMT TCCC Training Center Instructor Team Request Form
  3. JTS Review and Authorization

Note: Application timelines may vary. Please expect at least 5 business days for a response. 

JTS will review the Request and determine if eligibility criteria have been met. Eligible applicants will be authorized by JTS at one of the following levels to establish a Deployed Medicine Instructor Team and complete the required JTS TCCC Train the Trainer course/s.  

  • Gold: Authorized NAEMT TCCC Training Centers and their Course Coordinators who have met DoD TCCC Trainer Eligibility Criteria to certify US DoD Service Members in TCCC. NOTE: All NAEMT TCCC Instructors must additionally meet the above DoD TCCC Trainer Eligibility Criteria to certify US DoD Service Members in TCCC. 
  • Silver: Authorized NAEMT TCCC Training Centers their Course Coordinators who have NOT met DoD TCCC Trainer Eligibility Criteria to certify US DoD Service Members in TCCC, but are otherwise qualified to train and certify TCCC. Those who are authorized at this level must be employed by a GSA Eligible Entity (e.g. US federal and tribal governments and organizations, state, local, and territorial governments, and other eligible non-governmental organizations)
  • Bronze: Authorized NAEMT TCCC Training Centers their Course Coordinators who have NOT met DoD TCCC Trainer Eligibility Criteria to certify US DoD Service Members in TCCC but are otherwise qualified to train and certify TCCC. Those who are authorized at this level do not qualify as a GSA Eligible Entity.

       4. Purchase Deployed Medicine licenses 

Requests that are determined “JTS Authorized” will be transferred to Allogy, LLC for license purchasing 

  • GSA Eligible Entities: Purchase Licenses via GSA Schedule
  • All Others: Obtain a Commercial Contract (equivalent to GSA product lines)

       5. Complete JTS TCCC Train the Trainer Online Course/s

After purchasing licenses, course codes will be provided to access JTS TCCC Train-the-Trainer courses.

       6. Establish a Deployed Medicine TCCC Instructor Team (Training Center)

Once the courses are complete, you will be onboarded to a TCCC Instructor Team*

       7. Maintaining Your License

  • Renew Each Year to keep your Deployed Medicine instructor status active.
  • Discontinuation may occur if licenses are not renewed on time.
